There are three main categories for the College of Pharmacy competition*:

• Biology: Molecular & Cell Biology; Mechanism of Action
  • First prize: $550 ⁺
  • Second prize: $400
  • Third prize: $200
• Chemistry: Discovery, Modeling, Design & Evaluation of Novel Drugs; Detection & Delivery Systems
  • First prize: $550 ⁺
  • Second prize: $400
  • Third prize: $200
• Clinical, Social, and Applied Sciences
  • First prize: $400
  • Second prize: $250

* prize value dependent on number of entries

In addition to the main poster competition, awards will also be presented in the following categories:

• Innovate@UIC Innovation Award (presented by the UIC Office of Technology Management; no separate entry required)
  • First prize: $600 (split evenly in tie) ⁺
  • Second prize: $400 (split evenly in tie)
• UI Cancer Center Cancer Science Prize (presented by the UI Cancer Center for cancer-related research; please indicate on your abstract submission if you would like to be considered for this award)
  • First prize: $500 ⁺
  • Second prize: $250
• American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists UIC Student Chapter Choice Award (presented by the AAPS Graduate Student Association; no separate entry required BUT only PSCI graduate students are eligible)
  • First prize (AAPS members): $250
  • First prize (non AAPS members): $200, and the chapter will sponsor your membership for 1 year ($50)
• ISPOR Student Chapter Choice Award (presented by the ISPOR student chapter; no separate entry required)​
  • First prize: $250
• ISPE Student Chapter Choice Award (presented by the ISPE student chapter; no separate entry required)​
  • First prize: $250
• Pharmaceutical Sciences GSA Award (presented by the PSCI Graduate Student Association Award for Excellence in Research)
  • First prize: $200

+ Please note: we cannot pay out awards greater than $400 to postdoctoral scholars. In the situation where a postdoc received these awards $400 will be the payment
